Julie Lewis is an award-winning "entrepreneurial adventurer," author, and resilience specialist. In 2003, she founded Mountain High, the first female-led expedition company in the Middle East, and has since led more than 70 expeditions worldwide, including to environments as extreme as the Arctic and Antarctica. Her background is rooted in overcoming profound personal adversity, including being widowed at a young age and navigating life-threatening desert encounters, which she chronicles in her book Moving Mountains.
At the 2024 Gladiator Summit, Lewis delivered a compelling talk titled "Uncharted Waters: Embracing the Unknown". She drew on her experience as a high-altitude climber and English Channel swimmer to teach attendees how to turn fear into fuel and setbacks into momentum. Her presentation emphasized that resilience is not just survival but a proactive "mountain mindset" essential for navigating the volatile currents of modern business.
